Real Time Updating Service

The functionality of electronic charts offers many advantages over paper charts and it plays a major role in enhancing the safety of navigation today. Just like paper charts, the electronic charts have to be updated regularly, and in the case of official charts it is mandatory to do so.

C-MAP has developed a secure and sophisticated service for the updating of its CM-93/3 chart database and of the official ENCs in SENC format. It allows the charts to be updated instantly in real time via e-mail or the Internet, thus saving the mariner a lot of time and effort.
